Probably too late to be asking but ...
... are any towns nearby doing fireworks tonight? I'd rather not schlep into Boston and fight the huge crowds. Anywhere near/around Somerville?

Newton or Waltham are probably your best bet.
Another alternative: watch the Boston fireworks from Prospect Hill Park here in Somerville.

Date: 2008-07-05 12:23 am (UTC)I plan to bicycle to MIT soon and watch the Boston fireworks from Memorial Drive. Biking back to Somerville is far faster and saner than dealing with the Red Line or walking to Lechmere to get a bus home.
