Pescatore, Italian Restaurant and Seafood Grill, is not quite in Davis Sq, but it is still worth checking out ! Featuring many classic Italian dishes and fresh seafood, Pescatore cooks healthy and delicious food with a European style. We are located at 158 Boston Avenue in Ball Sq ( next to Crowley's Liquor. ) We have a to-go section in the front and a cozy dining room in the back which seats 30.

I tried to bring my parents here. We stood in the tiny entrance way for twenty minutes waiting to be seated, when all but two of the tables in the dining room was empty. At least twice a waitress tried to seat us, only to be told by an older man that no, that table was for someone else and we could not have it. We were prepared to wait, as we didn't have reservations. But there was another party who had been waiting longer than us who *did* have reservations, and they also kept getting almost seated but then refused by this older man.

After witnessing or being a part of FOUR failed seating attempts, and looking at empty tables for over 20 minutes, we walked out and have not been back since.

I have consistently heard that the food is excellent, though. Maybe I should try takeout.
