Excitement - new ownership of Soleil Cafe!

Okay, it's a little out of Davis...
The boarded-up Soleil Cafe in Teele has some new signs up - there is new ownership of the Cafe and one of the co-owners was the pastry chef at the Modern in the North End.

They were doing some work inside so I stopped in and said hello. I met the pastry chef guy and he was very nice - they will have cannolis and cakes and Southern Italian sandwich-y stuff. Most importantly, he said they'll be staying open til 10 PM! (The original Soleil had really weird hours) He said they're keep the Soliel Cafe name, and they'll try to re-open within 2-3 weeks.

So, yay! He asked me to get the word out so here you go.

I live right up the street and I'm very thankful to hear about their new hours. I was glad to see Soleil Cafe there when I moved in to the neighborhood until I realized that I could only actually go in there and buy anything on the rare day that I was going in really late to work for whatever reason.
