Well, actually for that movie they weren't in the Enterprise but a Klingon warship, which came in handy when they landed in a park and used the cloaking device. So it really should be a Klingon warship. But still, it's the only time I've ever seen someone beam up a whale.
And it's the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the film, not San Francisco. They have a massive tank for the sharks and sea turtles and whatnot that they used for the whale scenes. Just in case we weren't nerdy enough here.
