does anyone know where i can get poster size prints from digital photos?  i tried the cvs and walgreens websites, which both offer poster prints.  the cvs photo website sucks ass, so i gave up on that.  the walgreens website works, but it seems that you can only get poster prints mailed to you (can't pick them up in a store).  the complicating factor is that i'm looking to get some poster-size photos for sunday, so i can't wait for it to be mailed.  preferably, i would like a store near davis square, since i don't have a car.  but i could get a zipcar if i needed to.
thanks!

Does Cameras Inc. in Davis Square offer this service?

They do, and ought to be able to turn it around quickly.

Their website says they print commercial banners, which should work out to be poster-size prints, right?. ($25 for a 16x20 -- http://www.camerasinc.com/commercial_printing.html#divid=1)

One can call Cameras Inc at (617) 666-2700 or email them at sales@camerasinc.com

The other thing that comes to mind is checking with Staples, I know they have print centers.

strange. i would consider 16x20 a poster size but not a "commercial banner."

Pretty much any Kinkos or Staples does this kind of thing. Harvard Sq has both of these.

I find it pretty much always pays to go in person to have this kind of thing done so you can explain it face to face and make sure they understand what you want.

But if you do want to do it online, you can go to the online Staples copy shop enter to place your order and then go and pick up the next day:

Besides Cameras Inc., you could also check with Princeton Printing, on the little plaza next to Starbucks.

Princeton Printing does not do poster prints; I asked about two weeks ago. That machine is next on her list to buy, however.

Pageworks, I think. They would even put it on posterboard. But that was years ago.
Also try (online) Zazzle and CafePress.

Ritz Camera will do it. You can upload the photo on their website and then pick the location you want to pick up at.

I haven't used them for this particular service (though they do it), but for high quality work done locally, check out Art Related Technologies (http://www.artrelated.com/) in Harvard square. If you want high quality and reasonable prices online, look into White House Custom Color (http://www.whcc.com/).
