Distilled water?
Oct. 2nd, 2008 07:45 pmI have a project that calls for distilled water. Does anyone know where I can get that around here? (from googling it seems like distilled water is different from the various bottled waters one can buy everywhere).

Date: 2008-10-04 01:37 am (UTC)According to the last report I got from the MWRA, our water has about 7 mg/l of calcium and magnesium. On the other hand, more than 80% of America has "hard" water which is defined as more than 80 mg/l. As far as I know, the "hardest" water in the USA (hard = most mineral content) comes from some streams in Texas with more than 1000 mg/l of calcium and magnesium. So MWRA water is a lot closer to distilled water than to the average tapwater in America.
