I read through all the tags and was able to make an appointment tomorrow morning for my kitty, but I was wondering if anyone could give me solid $$$ numbers on local vet visits (cuz I'm hoping the place I *wanted* to go will call me before I go to the other place!)

I'm going to City Cats in Arglington who quotes $60 for a visit and $42 for a stool sample- which they asked me to Provide them with, oh goody! should be fun seeing as we have Two cats (but mine seems to be the only one with costly problems). Plus I'm a bad mamacat and am not sure when she had shots last and I'm sure to get stuck with something extra!
I didn't call PSV because some of you scared me away from them, but at the same time I'm worried about funds for Xmas... I used to pay $35 for an office visit in Cincinnati!! I suppose I should just be glad I was able to get in some place at all.

Has anyone ever heard of Beech Vets? It's super close for me, off of Mass Ave but Google is being flaky on info and I see no website or phone number so that can't be good. What is up with this Union Sq place that has a Brighton website addy and pulls up a place in Watertown?! That's actually the one I'm hoping to go to, it's closer

I'm not sure what's wrong, but I think my kitty has some type of worm (small and black, hardly even seems alive) that I can't find on teh interwebz and I'm leaving town Thursday so I'm in a rush to get this figured out. we've ruled out tapeworm, anyone else got a suggestion?

Oh and for anyone else tag-searchin like I was, Huron Clinic on Beacon St had loads of Yelp reviews, but was booked for two weeks :(
Also, there's a hospital (associated to the one I'm going to) in Brookline open until 10pm during the week, good to take note of...

Dr. Parker at Porter Square vet is awesome. I would highly recommend him. I think the reason PSV gets hinky reviews is because some of the vets aren't great (the first one I got didn't explain to me why she was giving my roommate's cat medicine until I specifically asked. She's the turtle looking one but I don't know her name). I believe a visit there is $40? So more reasonable that the City Cats.
