There is no national no-delivery organization like the National Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/). Individual Yellow and White Page organizations state that you can call them and they will put you on a list to not deliver books. But they are not held liable or accountable if the book shows up anyway. www.YellowPagesGoesGreen .org will contact the publishers with the sign up forms to have them "opt out" the individual or business that signs up. It will be the responsibility of the publishers to act in accordance to the consumer’s demand

There's nothing in what this group does that will prevent the publishers from sending the books.

I don't trust giving yet another company/org my address.

They say they aren't going to sell it off.

There's no way to prove they haven't done so.

And have any of those people doing the positive feedback used trick names to prove whether or not the org sold their names off?

Like I said - there's no way to be sure they haven't sold you name off.

Do YOU know which companies you order things from or give your info to, have sold off their data?

actually, whenever my father has to give his name, email, etc for a new thing, he will use a different title or suffix, or transpose a few of the letters, use a different middle initial, etc. this way he knows when he starts getting things sent to certain names, where they got the info.

I have thought of that, and I had heard of it, for example, giving a name as John LL Smith, when ordering from LL Bean.

In the process of signing up, I too noticed that this is merely a "petition", and in no way a binding list to not deliver.

I signed up anyway, but I now rue such decision as I realize I just confirmed a good e-mail address for possibly nothing.
