i feel like somebody posted about this fairly recently but when i tried looking back i didn't see anything..

does anyone know any place (or any person) who would fix turntables in the davis sq area? nothing too complicated, we just need the speed fixed & the belt put on properly.

An old, loose, slack belt will cause speed problems. U-Do-It Electronics in Newton might have a replacement belt. IIRC a DIY belt replacement isn't too difficult on most turntables.

Used Sound on Holland St., right near Johnny D's. If they can't fix it themselves, they can refer you to someone who can.

there's a place upstairs in the garage in harvard sq... only been there once but they seemed pretty good. they did a few repairs on my crappy turntable and didn't even end up charging. nice guys.
