For the right price (that is, free-$5) I'd defintely check Hall and Oates out.

I'm reading that as "free minus $5", i.e. you'd only go to such a concert if someone paid you $5.

If I'm bored and have nothing to do, I could be convinced to pay $5 if the right people accompany. Any other situation it had better either be free or have the promise of compensation.

Oye...a little respect for Hall and Oates! :-)
They do still have fans and actually, they are really good in concert. I saw them at the Orpheum a few years ago.

FYI...U2 is supposed to be playing Gillette on SEp 20th (and I will be on vaca, it figures..I always miss them). I think the on sale is the end of March.

that the street behind the theater was blocked off this morning an there were a few large trucks unloading? And I think the "no-parking on march 11" hoods over the meters might be a sign as well.

I've never seen Dover Street (my street) blocked off by police at 8am for any show at the Somverville Theater. Plus all the hooded parking meters say no parking for *two* days?!? Plus the very professional lighting equipment they were hauling into the back of the theater?

It's on. You can bet your wraparound Bono shades on it.

There are roadie type folks outside right now spray painting two big PVC looking pipes curiously shaped in the form of a U and 2. All signs point to yes.
