Has anyone noticed that virtually ALL Somerville News polls end up with the "YES" response winning? Often in a landslide. This is the case, even when the question is really loaded toward a "NO" response (often). What gives? Not that I think those polls are worth anything, but someone else might.

Somerville News polls are generally so stupid that they aren't worth discussing at all. At least here on LJ, you can't vote more than once in a poll.

This, on the other hand, is absolutely hilarious: Mechanic finds hidden gun in Somerville News delivery van

"What seems to be the problem sir?"

"Well, the van seems to be making this strange noise, like a click, and a bang!"

i am the kinder gentler jamie norton these days. for now.

i agree, the poll shouldn't be able to have multiple votes - hopefully the servicer can work that out.

as far as the results - i just scrolled through the poll results - it actually looks dead even - the last seven polls were so lopsided with YES results, that i was shocked to see the next four with larger NO than YES results.

anyways, that's my story and i'm stickin to it. enjoy.

I have noticed this. I keep thinking that Somerville News readers and or voters must be super-conservative based on those polls, but I didn't know it was possible to vote more than once. Worthless. I was really shocked at the results of the surveillance camera polls.

Re: Yup, the cam poll freaked me out.

Do you think surveillance cameras will improve Somerville’s emergency preparedness?
