Edited: I'll have a second petition specifically worded for non Somerville voting folks who care enough to stop by, because even though the city won't recognize those for the appeal officially, I agree that it's good to know that there are people outside the community who care about this as well!!

A suggestion: could you make a second petition for people who aren't Somerville voters? It would let the city know about the many nonresidents and business owners who are negatively affected by these changes, even though it wouldn't be part of the effort to have the Traffic and Parking Commission hold a hearing.

That's a fine idea, and I could have two seperate copies. The only issue here is that they only care about registered voters in this case for counts, so I'm not sure how much of an impression those will make. Also, we're a little late in the game to change the rules and expect non residents AND registered voters to show and sign..but I WILL keep a seperate copy with edited type for that purpose.

Drop me a message and let me know when you ARE free. Thurs AM I don't have to be at the office until 9:30 and I'd gladly meet you in Davis so you can sign before I post the petition to mail to the city (registered even) that day.

The manager said they had their own copy at the box office, so I assume it's available whenever they are! I can confirm tomorrow night and post that information here though :)
