I was in Davis earlier and they have the news crawl over the Middlesex bank and it was lulz abound over the crawl headline about the "constant" airplane nosie" {sic} I stood there for about 2 minutes waiting to cross and guess what- not a single airplane to be heard.

Constant, indeed....

Meowing airplanes sounds adorable I agree.. but eventually...... as an owner of two felines even the meowing gets monotonously annoying at times ha.

The planes of course will only meow when low on fuel - usually 30 minutes before your alarm is scheduled to go off.

As of right now, 23:42 EDT, the planes are not flying over Somerville. Is it too early to think we've been successful? I wonder if the more we post in [livejournal.com profile] davis_square the more the air traffic controllers are going to avoid sending them our way.

Doesn't the city employ 3 attorneys? And they work just for the city? And this is but one of their cases? I don't think they went to a private firm with this. And I seriously, SERIOUSLY doubt the city's attorneys are making millions of dollars.

I just called 311, and was transferred to the law department. They told me that they are using both the city attorneys and outside counsel for this law suit. The city attorneys have other duties, so, usually, when there is litigation, an outside litigation firm is used.

So, there are lots of tax dollars going to a law firm.
