Spanish Culture/Language Immersion Camp
Jun. 28th, 2009 01:15 pmI'm a local art teacher, and together with my colleagues we are offering a Spanish language and arts immersion summer program for kids aged 3-6, and 6-9. We will study the visual arts, drama, music, history, customs and language of different Spanish speaking countries each day, and sample snacks from those cultures as well! This will be a fun interdisciplinary experience, taught by teachers who LOVE what they do.

Date: 2009-06-28 07:26 pm (UTC)What would be really great is if there would be a similar program for the Hispanic, Brazilian, Haitian, etc, communities here. To teach their young ones about America. English and our foods. It's terribly needed.
I know and understand the importance of American children learning other cultures. But our foreign neighbors REALLY need to learn the language and culture of this nation which their families have chosen to bring them to.
