Hi,
We recently adopted a rescue greyhound and are looking for recommendations for a vet in the area with experience dealing with greyhounds. Because of their physiology, certain medications and anesthesia affect them differently and we'd prefer a vet and practice that already has experience with their needs.
Also, if people have recommendations for local dog obedience classes that focus on clicker training, that'd great. (and heck, dog walkers with grey experience, while I'm at it!)
Thanks!

Date: 2009-09-19 09:17 pm (UTC)We also went to two different classes at Canine University (http://canineuniversity.com/), which is about a 15 minute drive from Davis. They use 100% positive reinforcement and clicker techniques, though we'd clicker-trained our dog beforehand. She was a little skittish in that environment -- noisy, lots of strange dogs -- but the staff was very understanding (they even gave her a special mat for her greyhound butt). I highly recommend them.
