So I saw this reply, and I thought, "Do I know this person?" Checking your userinfo, we clearly know people in common, but I'm still not sure if we know one another. Your picture is familiar, but not certain. Though it does make me want to have a drink with you. :)

Oh, I don't think we've met, outside of me apparently filming you last night.

The day after you posted this comment, I was walking into the Square and you literally ran right in front of me. I was about to call out, but I realized I had no idea what your number was, and "Ert!" or "E-R-T!" felt strange. Plus you had headphones on and were quickly across College Ave. :)
After you were past, I thought, hey, I've been looking for a daytime running buddy to get me back out there! Your pace is almost certainly way faster then where I'm at these days, though.
Hey, I'm in! I've been looking for a jogging partner for years.
As a favour to my knees and back I don't go to often -- it seems to average about every week or 10 days, and recently I've been doing about 5k runs, I think.
Ert!" or "E-R-T!" felt strange.
Hehe. Actually, the LJ username was selected to match my name, so "Ert!" works spectacularly well. :)
I was on the verge. I little "Ya gotta see this. Come on out." and I would have hopped on my bike. Ah well. My sleep-deprived brain was not capable of making such decisions....
Thanks for posting this! I was there, and even though I've never followed sports until this Series, it was wonderfully overwelming to see so much joy in Davis. Strangers hugging, bus drivers waving and cheering, brooms in the air and people dancing in the middle of the street. I've never really been a part of anything like that before.
Yes, looking at the movie after I took it I noted how every 10 seconds of footage there's people chanting or hugging or jumping into each other's arms. I can't count how many high fives I got walking through the crowd.
I went to Harvard afterwards and it was more sedate than Davis, although The Pit was full of people singing in unison, accompanied by a trumpeter standing on one of the walls.
Oh, Harvard wasn't always sedate. We had a full 40-odd-person band playing on the walls of the Pit and the T-station roof. Lone trumpet guy was a latecomer and stuck around after the band went home, and kept entertaining the thinning crowd.
Oh, aha, I left that company last year, I'm sure some server migration swept it away at some point. It's up on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkZ7x3Xu7iA) now.

See, that's why I'm sad I missed you. :)
I'm game. :) Real email's on my userinfo page.

At least, my hand is when I hold it three feet over my head.
With my arms.
That go three feet over my head.
Ahem.
