I wonder what movie she was trying to see? If it was "The Lovely Bones" I can understand the degeneration into psychotic behavior.

Fantastic Mr. Fox. She was the diversion for squab thievery.

Every time I see that movie title, all I can think is, "Chaos reigns!"

Then all I can think of is the statue of Our Lady in Pecker saying, "Full of grace!"

Odd that she's referred to as a "Somerville woman" in the headline, given that she seems to be a resident of Brighton.

Maybe it meant to say

"Woman arrested after making scene, threats at Somerville theater"

(Dah. This is two nitpicking comments from me in a row. I have to find a good fluffy bunny subject to comment about...)

Her parents have probably wanted to kill her for a long time, I'd guess.

What is with young people these days, making their parents do everything for them? Geez.

Given her age, untreated schizophrenia, maybe?

I hope she gets help.

The manager in the article, one of my assistant managers, is a great guy who has been managing theaters of all shapes and sizes for 20+ years (including in NYC, not an easy place to work in retail.) Unfortunately for him, he happened to be on duty when this person evidently had some kind of breakdown. Her accusations of harassment were somewhat comically misplaced on him, since he is gay and his partner happened to be in the lobby visiting him at that time. I hope that she gets some kind of treatment for whatever is bothering her, and also sticks to Netflix.

(PS - she was seeing "Dear John" so perhaps it drove her to it.)

Dear John? I think you identified the proximate cause.

My niece was visiting last weekend, and I talked her out of going to that very screening of Dear John. Why do I miss all the fun?

On the one hand, funny; on the other, when I hear about someone 25 years old acting so bizarrely, I think "Y HALO THAR ONSET OF SCHIZOPHRENIA."

I hope she gets help!

Seriously, I have known way too many nice, normal people end up totally bonker--er, mentally ill this way. That was my first thought too, that it was a major mental health issue. (Actually, my first thought at the title was "another spoiled college brat?", but "total breakdown" was my second thought.) Hope she gets some help... :/

I think that falls under the heading of "paying someone $9 to go away" which seems cheap at the price.
