grocery bag recycling

My roommate and I can't use our stockpiled plastic grocery bags fast enough and are drowning. Does anyone know somewhere I can take them for recycling? I know the Star Market in Porter Square used to have a recycling area just for bags. However, rumor now has it they don't anymore...?

i thought i remember someone saying there was a craft store around here that didn't charge for classes, so you just had to pay for supplies.  i did a search and found this http://sparkcrafts.com/4436.html but the classes are not free.  was i imagining things, or is there such a place?

Inman Square

Can anyone tell me about the relative sketchiness (or not) of the Inman Square area? Apparently there's a right and wrong side of both Western Ave and Putnam -- which is which? Would you feel safe walking around the area at night? Is it feasible to live there carless?
