I saw this posting in the Somerville Arts Council mailing list, and I thought I'd repost it here to give it a wider exposure, in case some "non-artists" didn't see it.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT; Program Director-Books of Hope )

(Note: I have no connection to the Arts Council, just felt like sharing some particularly cool info more widely... I wish I could do this job!)

(PS - The Somerville Arts Council digest is a very handy e-mail to get everyday, I find - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/somartscouncil/)

I'm trying to clear space on the bookshelves before classes start and I get lots of new textbooks, so I have some books to sell. I hope this is ok to post (if not I'll be happy to take it down).

(EDIT: Found a place yesterday afternoon -- thank you to everyone for being so helpful!!!)

Hey all, I'm another friendly 20-something seeking an apartment in the area starting September 1. I'm a female recent law school grad, starting work as a criminal prosecutor in Boston in September. I'm quiet, responsible, clean, and many other positive adjectives. I'm geek/queer friendly, and in my spare time I enjoy theatre, local music, kayaks, video games, reading, and long walks on the beach.

Help me find a home!

Those who remember the thread a few weeks back about "yuppie-haters" might be interested to know that the Save Our Somerville group is holding a community meeting this coming Thursday at 6:00p.m. at Lexington Park.  All are welcome (I'll be sitting in the yuppie section, hopefully not alone.)
[EDIT: thanks to those who pointed out that I had previously posted the incorrect time.  The meeting is actually at 6, not 7.]
