Somerville Open Studios VOLUNTEER CREW

Somerville Open Studios is coming in just about a month, and we're looking for help getting the word out. If you're a big fan of SOS, we could really use your enthusiasm, and if you've never been before, you're in for a treat.

I am looking to build a small volunteer force of art-lovers who will help distribute the Event Maps to the map-stands and retail locations, the week before the event, the morning before the event and during the event (while you're out visiting studios). Your "SOS VOLUNTEER CREW" badge will identify you to the artists you're visiting as a dedicated supporter and a member of the Crew.

SOS takes place the first weekend in May--Saturday and Sunday May 5 and 6. Over 300 artists in over 100 locations will open their studios and homes to the public to show and sell their work. It's really quite the event! This year we will have free Trolleys running through Somerville, with live entertainment on-board, as well.

Davis square heads--

I'm performing the booking at the newly renovated, newly opening Champion Bar and Grille in Lynn. Grand opening is april 12th, and I'm booking aggressively from the 13th on. The venue is large, with new pool tables, darts, 7 plasma TV screens and is right up 1A, off 16.

I understand this is for a bar in Lynn, but I live in Davis, and would love to get some local acts out to my venue.

Kind of a long shot, but does anyone knows of a place where I can find a list of cabstands and their locations in the area? I'm specifically wondering if there is a regular cabstand in Inman Square. (Sorry - only tangentially related to Davis, but you guys are really helpful!)
