Crickets?

There's another conversation going on about noise in Davis, but this post is about an absent noise in my specific location -- crickets in summer. Here on Bay State Avenue, at the Powderhouse end of Ball Square, I've never heard a cricket sing at night. Just curious; are there crickets in any other parts of Davis and vicinity?

I know Davis isn't the closest square to where this stuff happened, but given an earlier post on the topic I imagine people here are interested in the Mass Ave house moves that happened today. I went down at 6 am and took pics, since I used to work in one of the buildings that was being moved.
