Urban Country Fair in Union Square, Sunday 9/23

This weekend's ArtsUnion event is the Urban Country Fair, Sunday from 3 to 7 pm. Inspired by country fairs that feature neighbors sharing knowledge, showing off their own talents and having fun, the Urban Country Fair does the same for city folk. There will be Boston SkillShare workshops, old time countrified musical entertainment, exhibitors and craft and art sellers.

Parking alert: Buena Vista lot closed for a week

I got this e-mail from Chris Daveta at City Hall regarding the Buena Vista parking lot, which is across Holland Street from Johnny D's:

Hello. Just a quick reminder that the upper deck of the parking garage will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, September 24 through Sunday, September 30. Anticipated re-opening is Monday morning, October 1. The garage will also be closed to traffic for one full day on October 12 to allow the installation of the last section of the new expansion joint.

Please use the parking lots on Grove Street and Day/Herbert Streets in the interim or, if your destination is Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, you may park in the lower deck for a fee.
