Looking for a kid to take my cans/bottles for refund

I would like to find a kid that lives in Davis Square who would take my cans and bottles back to the grocery store for the deposit. My aim is to provide some child or teenager the opportunity to make a few dollars, and it would take the task off of my hands.

Ideally, once I have a few bags full, I would call or email the kid to let them know I've put them on the porch and they can come and get them after school or whatever works for them.

I'm looking for a kid that's reliable and whose parents approve.

(We didn't have a "Jobs for Teenagers and Kids" tag so I have no taglings attached. Recommendations?)

Need to rent space in garage for motorcycle storage

long time lurker - first post.

Looking to store my motorcycle for the winter and am hoping to store it in a nice dry garage.  Anyone have space they're willing to rent out?  Or know of someplace that will and is affordable?  I'm interested in storing the bike from next weekend until the end of winter (I guess april 1?)

Thanksgiving Street Sweeping

Does anyone know what the story with Thanksgiving street sweeping is?
It's the 4th Thursday, but I don't know that I've ever been aware when a holiday fell on one of those days. Since it'd be pretty evil to push it back a day, I assume that there won't be any Thursday-side sweeping this week, but thought someone else might know for sure.

Reserving parking spaces

A question for the hive mind in this handy forum.

What, if anything, can I officially do about a neighbor who regularly claims a parking space in front of his house with an upside-down trash barrel? I'm getting tired of walking several blocks with my groceries when there is a perfectly good spot steps away from my door.

I'll spare you a vent about what I'd like to do because I'm not going to start a neighborhood war. This neighbor is old and he has probably lived in the same house longer than I've been alive. I'd speak to him about it but I don't want to get involved with someone who may blame me (or my car) if someone else acts on the frustration I feel.

Not much film screening action this week with school breaks for Thanksgiving.  Everything is pretty much on Monday this week.
