According to the Somerville Journal, Lyndell's will be giving a free cupcake to each of its customers on Monday, Dec 3rd, to celebrate its 120th year in business.
Any recommendations where I can take my weddng dress to be cleaned? It has a lot of crystals that came originally plus I had some stuff sewn on...so I want to take it somewhere good. I got married in Sept and ever since its been sitting in a spare room.
It is entirely possible that I am telephone-ly challenged, but has anyone else noticed that Redbones seems to have a new phone system that is difficult to use? I have called the number that is all over their site and I always seem to be transferred around and disconnected / put on hold indefinitely. Do they have a dedicated number for delivery service? I have always dialed the 2200 number, is this incorrect?
Other times I have run into this problem I have just walked over and ordered takeout, but I am working on a project and I don't really have time for a field trip. (Oh well no BBQ goodness for me tonight.)
Please let me know if someone else has had difficulty, I need reassurance I am not the only one :)
Brickbottom Artists and Joy Street Artists are both having open studios this weekend, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 pm. I highly recommend these events.
To get to Brickbottom from Davis Square, take bus 87 or 88 to "Glass Stop" (across from Target). To get there from Powderhouse or Ball Square, take bus 80. Joy Street is a short walk from Brickbottom.
It's Friday evening, and there have to be at least a few other folk sitting at home and wondering what could be done to get out this evening. Starting from the perhaps erroneous assumption that improvised meet-ups are the answer, I propose pool at Diesel at 8:30pm, with drinks or food to follow based on who shows up.
