The Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5km in Davis Sqaure on Sunday

The Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5km will be held this Sunday at 11 am. The starting line is in front of the Burren and the finish line is on the bike path near Brooks Pharmacy. There will be about 2,500 runners competing. The course passes through Teele Square and Ball Square as well. There are post-race parties at the Burren, the Sligo, Redbones, the Joshua Tree, Orleans, P.J. Ryan’s, and the Powderhouse Pub, but because of the crowds, I think that entrance to the pubs will be restricted to runners and accompanying friends/family members until 1 pm.

I was referred here by someone on Yelp. I really want to run the Ras Na hEireann this Sunday and am flying in for the occasion, but didn't register (I know, my own fault) and now the registration is closed. Did anyone here by chance register and decide that they don't want to do it? I'll pay for your bib/registration.

I saw the topic on it below, but wanted to do a fresh post rather than a comment that might not get read - hope that's okay.

does anyone know of any stores in the area that stock honest tea/ade?  i can't seem to find them anywhere except the 7-11 near where i work, and i'd love to find a place near davis to stock up on them!

I have an extra ticket for the DKM show this Saturday night at the Tsongas arena at 8. It is $45 and you would probably have to meet me there because I printed the ticket and it has my name on it, though I am not positive about this. The show is general admission, so I am not sure if you would have to sit near me and my friends, but you can look at it as a chance to make new friends! We don't bite. Much. :)

Davis Square Board Game Night

what:
Bring your board games (or strategy games, or card games, or dice games...) and enjoy good food and fun. If you bring your own players, that's fine. If you are looking to meet some new people or find a couple of more people to round out a game of Settlers of Catan, that's fine, too. (You can choose to be as social as you want; this is a very informal gathering and no one will put you on the spot. Most people don't know each other, so one more stranger will not seem so amiss.)

Sunday, March 30th, 5pm to 10pm (close)
(Feel free to come earlier if you'd like- there is no set starting point and some of those games can get long!)

who:
Everyone is welcome. This is a all-community event and is not limited to Davis_Square readers. Bring you family, friends, roommates, people you meet on the way, etc.

This fun event is growing each time it is held. Last month's game night saw some TransAmerica, Settlers of Catan, Letras, Equals, and something I can't recall that involved utilities bright colors as well as a Blokus game I did not see in action. The month before that saw some Fluxx, Farkel, Catan, and Scrabble. As you can see, any game is welcome and there are always more games that players so don't be worried if you don't come with a game in hand! The staff of Boloco is great and always makes us feel very welcome.

Can't make it? maybe next month. We can do this monthly.
