Got a Tom Champion message re: the city of Somerville doing pipe work in my area that could lead to discolored water. It advised against doing laundry (apparently, could lead to rust stains).

I was planning on going to the laundromat tomorrow...but now I'm not sure if I should. It IS on the other side of Davis from me (almost to Porter). So how do I tell how far "in my area" extends? Anybody near Somerville Ave./Lowell St. get that call?

Room becoming available!

Half of a 2 bedroom apartment (the bedroom itself is about 130 sq feet, apartment is quite large) near Tufts university becoming available for July 1st move in!

The apartment is the first floor of a two family home on a small side street just over the border into Medford. Washer and dryer in the basement which are free to use, street parking but it is non-permit and easy to get. HUGE kitchen, living room and dining room. There is one cat in residence. Other pets can be discussed. Rent is $725 a month, utilities including internet run about $150, more if we add cable tv. On the 96 busline and 101, 10 minute walk from the 94 and 80.

Channel 7 news at Davis T

I was walking to the Davis Square T with a friend and was stopped by a reporter from Channel 7. She wanted to show us a clip of a guy exiting the T (running through the exit and on his way) who dropped something which turned out to be a wad of cash. He didn't look down or anything. She asked us if we had ever dropped/lost anything and how did it make us feel? Then she showed us the clip in slo-mo twice and asked us more questions and our names. I would have kept on going but my friend was nice and stopped to talk to her. I guess we'll see if we're on the 11 o'clock news tonight. At least my hair was nice today!

Did anybody else talk to reporters in Davis Square tonight?
