Red Line closed, Kendall-Park St, 6/14-15 and 21-22

The Red Line will not be running this Saturday and Sunday (June 14-15) or next Saturday and Sunday (June 21-22) between Kendall Square and Park Street Station. This is so the T can repair railroad ties on the Longfellow Bridge.

They're going to run shuttle buses, but I have no idea how the buses will get around or through tomorrow's huge Gay Pride parade in downtown Boston. Also, the Cambridge River Festival, tomorrow from noon to 6 pm, will close Memorial Drive.

Tomorrow would be an excellent day to use a bicycle instead of either a car or the T.

Frank's Steakhouse Review

At ron_newman's encouraging, I'm cross-posting this from my own LJ.

Last week beowabbit and I wandered into Frank's Steak House on Mass Ave., on a quest for grilled flesh for the Meatasaurus Wabbitus. They were too busy to seat us without a long wait, so we made a date to come back and try it, this time with a reservation. It's at 2310 Mass Ave, right behind Davis. Dover or Meacham will drop you across the street, basically. It was worth the experiment.

MAGOUN SQUARE YARD SALE SATURDAY 6/14

We're moving overseas! We have a little bit of everything (except kid's stuff - sorry). Kitchen stuff, records (LPs and 7"s), books up the wahzoo, casettes, VHS tapes, men's and women's clothing, lots of size 5.5 and 6 shoes and boots, a wedding dress, fabric and various knitting and craft items, bike stuff (a couple frames and various parts), purses, bags, and knick knacks of all sorts.

9am to 2pmish!!!

37 Hinckley Street off of Broadway in Somerville, just past Ball Square after Trum Field on the right. If you're on foot, from Davis it's a lovely walk down the bike path and you're just minutes away!
