So, I lost my wallet and was sure it was lost and gone forever but some good soul in Beacon Hill returned it sans cash. Good enough for me, but now I have a 7 day pass that expires on Nov 4 and no use for it because they left my October link pass.

Anyone want to help me cut my losses and buy it from me for like $10? I hate wasting money. I can meet you anywhere in the square.

I was a loyal Hillside Auto customer while I lived across the street from them, but I've recently moved to the Washington/Beacon intersection (near the Wine & Cheese Cask), and am looking for something closer by. I have a 1991 Volvo. Any recommendations?

I know there's a running contempt for "doing your homework" on here, but i think with interview subjects, that's not the same thing.

So! My friend needs to interview either (A) a current activist of any cause (B) a former activist of any cause (preferably 1960's-70's), or (C) a Vietnam vet.
And she needs to do it this week, and it needs to happen either in person or by phone.
it would take about half an hour.

if anyone could do this, please let me know. Thank you!

The playground on Holland St. up towards Teele Square is scheduled for a million-dollar overhaul next spring. There's an informal meeting with a landscape architect from Weston & Sampson, the company the city has selected to lead the project, this Saturday from 2–3:30pm (rain date Sunday morning).

If you or your children (or, like a lot of us, you and your children) use this playground, please join us. This park and playground are very important to our community (the surprisingly vibrant pre-nightlife aspect of Davis Square), and we need to make use of all available lines of communication. I went to the Ward 7 ResiStat meeting last week, and came away feeling confident that the city really does want to take our wishes for our park into consideration — and that the mayor thinks sand is ew, icky.
