I went through the tags and I dont see anything for vets/animals unless it is called something else?

I am looking for a new vet. I want something either in Somerville or Arlington and if they are on-time I would love it! My existing vets office is consistently 20-30+ mins late and it gets old when you are there pretty often. If your vet knows about dogs with allergies that would be great too!

Hello!

I looked through old healthcare posts and saw the recs there, but I wanted to see if someone could recommend a doctor best suited for my situation. More details. )

I am a grad student at Tufts and I do research on green roofs.  I am finalizing my summer research plans and I would like to hire some high school interns to help out with research on the Tisch Library Green Roof on the Tufts Medford campus.  I would *really* like to pay these interns, so that regular kids (not just the super wealthy) can afford to take advantage of this opportunity.  The problem is that I am fresh out of research money.  I have applied for a bunch of grants and sent a bunch of inquiry emails, but I was hoping that you--the omniscient Davis Square LJ community--might have some ideas on where I can look for money, either through convential routes (grants) or by doing something clever, such as the ingenious Phelps-a-thon at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School   http://community.livejournal.com/davis_square/1666774.html

Please check out the website for the Tufts Green Roof Collaborative to learn more about the project

Thanks in advance!!

Link found courtest universalhub.com

Just passing this on for those interested. In fact, if we could move all snow removal discussion from DSLJ to that link, that'd be great. All the complaints in one place would probably help.

Whenever I dig a hole in my yard to plant anything, I end up removing broken bricks, random chunks of concrete, shattered paving stones, and other detritus. When a plant isn't doing well, I can usually dig down and find whatever large object was pushing on its roots. I've been piling these chunks up by the back of my house, since I don't think I can legally put it out with the trash. I've re-used some of the less broken pieces to make a stone path, but I honestly don't need that many brick-like objects.

Now my pile has grown to the point where it's in the way (keeping me from wheeling my trash cans out), so I'm suddenly motivated to make it disappear. Can anybody recommend a waste removal service for this stuff? I probably have around ten cubic feet of bricks, brick-like objects, and cement/mortar/concrete.
