For sale: 2000 Ducati Monster 750. 9400 miles, tons of accessories, below Kelly Blue Book value. Cross-posted from: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/mcy/1154176582.html for pictures and the complete rundown. Asking $3500.

Also have a large, clunky window air conditioner. It's not terribly efficient, it's heavy, it's kind of ugly. But it works. If you're cooling a small room or cooling something just occasionally, this is your AC. $20 or best offer.

I know this is weird, but if the person who put a sprig of lilac flowers on my motorcycle last night, while it was parked caddy-corner from Rite-Aid from 9-1 AM, is here and reading this, would you please explain why you did it?

It seemed kind of sweet like - oh, flowers, how lovely. I didn't see any lilac bushes around where I parked (though admittedly it was dark). So I started thinking about why the person had them in the first place, and why my bike was the target of this gesture. Then it occurred to me that it might have been done in some environmentalist sort of statement, which I guess I would find more annoying than sweet.

Whoever did it, thank you for giving me something to mull over on the ride home, but it's such a riddle now, so please, ease my suffering :) (also if you're going to mess with my bike, this is a more acceptable method than most, so thanks for that, i think)

TICKETS ARE SOLD - THANKS EVERYONE

I bought tickets to The Onion at Arts at the Armory for tomorrow night a while back, totally forgetting that it was Mother's Day. Now, due to mothers, I can't go.

Is anyone interested in 2 tickets for The Onion? The Arts at the Armory is a great space and I am bummed that I can't go, but such is life. The tickets were $20 each plus service charges. I'd sell them for $30 for both, or even $25 if I don't get a better offer. You can pick them up near Tufts, or I might be able to drop them off somewhere in Somerville before the show.

Our indoor cat Zeno got loose last night on Pearson Road near Broadway. If you see him please try to catch him. He doesn't bite or scratch. He's a domestic short hair with black and brown stripes. He's wearing a green collar. If you have any information, please call us. Sam: 978-807-8601. Tori: 857-891-8979. Photo after the cut.

Springtime brings out the unemployed students canvassing for donations throughout Boston. This weekend, they've hit Davis Square heavy. I could stand outside the Somerville Theatre and count at least six just by turning my head.

They appear to be soliciting donations for a group called Children International. They also seem (in my opinion) a bit more aggressive in getting pedestrians' attention this year.

Offered without judgment* or comment**.

* Though I imagine my judgment of them is pretty well implied

** Though you can make all the comments you like.

Now that we have returned to the late night BBQ season, I was thinking about actually setting up some sort of lighting in my back yard so that we aren't grillin' in the dark.  I'm not a fan of the one glaringly bright backyard light and was wondering what other people have set up in their yards in the area.  Any recommendations for places to look  for fixtures/lanterns in the area?  I've tried solar lanterns in the past, but they seem to run out of juice quickly and don't appear to give quite enough light off.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)
