On August 29, 2009, local artist Annie Smidt will turn the historic powderhouse tower in Nathan Tufts Park (Somerville MA) into a camera obscura, effectively transforming the building into a room-sized, lenseless camera which can capture images of the park outside. She will then use the powderhouse camera to photograph members of the Somerville community as they pose in the park.
Everyone is welcome. Come be a part of it!
