Any recommendations for companies that inspect houses for points of entry for squirrels and fix them (plus, catch squirrels that may already be in)? A while back, someone recommended Best Pest. I found this company called "Boston Bat Removal" that also takes care of squirrels. Has anyone used them?

The Brown School discount card - which costs $10, lasts from Sept.1 to Aug. 31, and gets you lots of great Davis Sq. discounts - is now available at Mr. Crepe, in case you didn't pick one up at ArtBeat. If you go to Mr. Crepe, RedBones or Blue Shirt Cafe (among many others) more than a couple of times a year, this is totally worth it.

No affiliation, just an extremely satisfied card user. There's a previous discussion of how awesome it is here.

He's been visiting us (and at least one other neighbor that we know of) for a couple of months around Union Square. He's very skinny, always ravenous, and occasionally has some scratches or a rash, so we assumed he's a stray. He's also unneutered, so maybe he's never had an owner.

We were thinking of taking him to a vet to get checked out. Does anyone have any idea whether or not he's had an owner or have any other useful information about him?

Very friendly, short hair, seems young. If you're looking for someone who fits this description, try the bike path back of the new luxury condos, almost the the Camberville line, exactly where the maple was snapped in half today by (I'm guessing) another downburst like the one took out one of the nearby evergreens a few years ago.
