Next Wednesday, October 7th is the 8th anniversary of the war on Afghanistan., To mark this tragic date, the Cambridge and Somerville/Medford UJP community groups will be standing out at T- stops from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. We will be distributing information about the costs of the war, and alerting people to the Oct. 17th anti-war rally at Copley Square. We will gather at the Davis Sq. T-stops on Holland St., next to the cinema, at 5:30pm.

The tide is turning away from further escalation of the war on Afghanistan. It's a time when we can make a difference. Come stand with us on Oct. 7th

seeking a third great roomie

So a good friend of mine recently asked me to move in with her, and I'm trying to help my current roommates find a replacement for me by November 1. They're both great guys, and I'd never be leaving them if my new place weren't ridiculously perfect for my social circle and transportation needs.

The apartment's off Broadway, right by Tufts and a 5-10 minute walk from Davis. My friends like a laid-back, friendly, homelike atmosphere, so they're looking for someone who'd be interested in the same. The place is a good deal: $700 rent, including heat/water (electricity & cable/internet are separate, but have always been manageable). It's convenient, affordable, and the company's excellent - I really could not have asked for more pleasant people to live with.

Davis Square: The First Indie Sitcom - anyone remember this?

For years, I've had this magnet on my refrigerator:

I have no idea how old it is, and I don't know anything about the TV show that it advertised. I'm guessing it ran on SCAT but I don't recall ever watching it. The website on the magnet, DavisSquareSit.com, no longer exists.

If anyone here remembers this, or acted in it, or helped produce it, or has a tape of it, or knows anything at all about it, please post a reply here. Thanks.

Hi All, I've posted these on craigslist but I thought I'd share here. I'm selling my Palm Centro. Its got the phone charger car charger a case and a 2 gig memory card (that alone is worth the purchase hah).

i'm also selling my Reptarium (like a fish tank with a screen top). Its 30x12x12 and comes with a food dish, a heat pad and a reflector lamp fixture. I had this set up for my russian tortoise but she needs open air.
