Now that H-mart has opened near my office in Burlington, I've been wandering the aisles and wondering how I can create some tasty Korean food for myself. Does anyone know of a local cooking class that covers Korean food?

Hi, this was discussed a while back community.livejournal.com/davis_square/1725796.html . Now we got their little red cards urging us to call. Since that last thread, has anyone had any problems with the new meters?

has anyone here ever used a light box to combat the winter blues? i'm considering buying one but am not sure where to start for reviews, research, consumer recommendations, etc.

I'd also be interested in experiences with full-spectrum vs narrow-spectrum blue lights.

thanks.

(I also sent this to the medford_mass list, but it has such little traffic I'm wondering if anyone but me actually is on that list! But since Davis Square area often includes Tufts/Medford people, this is relevant here too)

I've been recently married (see userpic!) and as such, have been busy with wedding/honeymoon/etc and have not paid attention to local politics. However, lately I've seen a lot of posters with names on them in lawns in Medford, as if there's an election soon for Town Council (??) and I've missed it all.

If there is, can someone help me?

1. Confirm the date of the election (is it the first tuesday in November?)
2. Who are the candidates?
3. Is there a sample ballot anywhere online?
4. What office(s) are up for election?
5. What are the views of each of the candidates so I can make an informed decision?
6. Will there be any town/county/state "questions" I'll be considering for the election?

Yours for a more well informed populance - PRIOR to the election day!

Hey all.... I bought a few pairs of tights from Cambridge Clogs (just past Porter Square on Mass Ave). Turns out that despite my being in the size range listed, they were too small (the first pair I put on ripped). Cambridge Clogs was willing to replace the torn pair, exchange on of the unopened pairs, but refused to exchange or replace the third pair because I technically opened it to see the pattern on it. I'm very frustrated at the store for this policy, because I did not wear them, I just folded out one of the legs to see the pattern. But I digress. So, I have no use for these tights. They cost me $22. They are from the brand Hue (hue.com) and are a Painted Floral Print Control Top Pantyhose Hosiery (#10410). The best picture I can find is this:

http://www.amazon.com/HUE-Painted-Control-Pantyhose-Hosiery/dp/B001RCHTCC

(the darker/black pair). They are size s/m with a listed range of ht:5'3" to 6'0" and wt:120-170lbs. I am within that range, but do have pretty big legs from biking/walking/stair climbing. If anyone wants to buy them off me for, say, $15 I would be much obliged.
