Hello Davis Square,

I come to you today seeking your sage advice.  I am looking for a physical therapist to help me work on some ankle issues.  I don't have a car, so I need something accessible to public transit --  the closer to Davis/Ball/Porter, the better.    Does anyone have a recommendation for someone they've had a good experience with?

Thanks very much!

This is just to announce the date of our regular Burren meetup. For November, we will have the meetup on Tuesday, November 10th. As always, we will meet in the back room in the back left hand corner. The meetup starts at 7pm. Open mic night starts sometime after 8pm, and it does get a bit loud, so the earlier you get there the better.

Please come by and meet your fellow [livejournal.com profile] davis_square members!

[Largely adapted from [livejournal.com profile] cthulhia's post on the subject]

The Big Broadcast will have people milling about in character by 7:15. (matinee: 1:15)
The script starts around 7:45. (matinee: ~1:45)
There's at least one ENSMB song before the official start at 8. (matinee: 2)

The usherettes, "cigarette girls" & assorted offstage cast not only look the part, but will be interacting with audience members and each other. I will be in character as Leda Leaper, the Daily Advertiser's gossip columnist. My costume as Leda is amazing - I got an astounding hat from Boston Costume, and Sylvine (who is French, and therefore more stylish than I can ever hope to be) has lent me a dress that makes my rack look even better than it normally does. I know, that seems impossible, but it's true! And the usherettes and cigarette girls look even hotter than I do. And don't even get me started on the house marm! w00t!

If last night's "rehearsal" is any indication, they're also going to run out of vintage candy, and slightly out of period "candy cigarettes", fast. Arrive early, be sure to buy something from them and interact with them in character.

[Mods: There are a lot of people in this community involved with this show, and we're all really excited about it - apologies in advance if it seems like spam; we'll stop if you tell us to, but if you don't we're liable to post a lot - please don't take it ill]

Hi,

We bought a beautiful sage green and chocolate colored dog bed at Costco a while ago for our beagle. Of course, he hates it and prefers to sleep *anywhere* else. After two months, I'm giving up. Do you want it? If so, send me a message and it's yours.

Tiny pic below.. It's approximately 23 inches wide and 17 inches deep internally.

It's quite plush. If I were beagle sized, I'd live in this bed.
Maybe your dog will love it. . .  )

Hey all,

Somehow over the course of 2008, my housemates and I became Old People--content to stay in and cook for hours, while making cocktails. This is all well and good, but it means that I have no idea where to go carousing on Halloween night. Anything good going on in the area that isn't a radio show? I love dancing (to most anything: top40, 80s, reggae, dancehall, salsa, even reggaeton).

Thanks in advance. In exchange, some Halloween art appropriate to the area )
