I am looking for stick-on cushiony things for ball-of-the-foot and heels, preferably in black or silver/light gray.
Does anyone know if there are any local (Davis/BallSq/Porter or easily T/bus-able from same) stores that carry this sort of thing? (I know Target may, I am looking for other ideas.)
I'm perfectly willing to call places and ask, I just have no idea where to even start.

More info on what I'm looking for:
Like these and these except functional and simple, and not half the width of my foot.
I don't need cutesy shapes for the bottom of my damn feet, TYVM, I just need something to make the shoes I am wearing to a wedding Saturday hurt my tired-from-standing-all-day feet less.

There's a large iguana wandering around Irving and Wallace Streets. If it is yours (or if you know who it belongs to), you may want to contact Animal Control. It's currently up in a tree, although earlier it was wandering around driveways and making some neighbors wonder if they were hallucinating. At least it's not a coyote.
It sounds as if this iguana has escaped before, or at least wasn't recovered.

I just moved in with my boyfriend and his cat to a new apartment in East Somerville. Turns out I am much more allergic to his longhaired cat than I thought I would be.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a groomer that will shave & bathe a cat? Bonus points for Saturday morning or weekday evening appointments. I do have a car and am willing to drive just about anywhere if it means I can breathe somewhat normally again...

I lived in Davis Square for 10 years, and recently moved to Arlington Center. I'm now trying to figure out the whole T thing, since I regularly would have visiting transportation-riding friends go to Davis and call when they got there for a car pick-up. Alewife is obviously closer to me now, but is it the black hole I'm imagining it to be? The station always seems to have a lot of traffic pouring out of it, and I feel like, once I drive in there, I'll never get out. (And how the heck will my friend ever find me anyway?) I have one of said friends coming tomorrow, so I'd like to know if I should send her to familiar old Davis, or new and intimidating Alewife? I'll also probably be dropping her at the T on days she wants to venture off alone, since she's staying a while. I know this is a bit silly and I'm totally over-thinking it, but any first-hand experiences that can help me decide?
