I am looking for stick-on cushiony things for ball-of-the-foot and heels, preferably in black or silver/light gray.
Does anyone know if there are any local (Davis/BallSq/Porter or easily T/bus-able from same) stores that carry this sort of thing? (I know Target may, I am looking for other ideas.)
I'm perfectly willing to call places and ask, I just have no idea where to even start.

More info on what I'm looking for:
Like these and these except functional and simple, and not half the width of my foot.
I don't need cutesy shapes for the bottom of my damn feet, TYVM, I just need something to make the shoes I am wearing to a wedding Saturday hurt my tired-from-standing-all-day feet less.

I'd start by looking in the foot care aisle at the drugstore -- last I checked, both CVS and Rite Aid had a selection of insoles, moleskin, and other shoe padding options.

If you can't find them in a more convenient location, I have found a good selection at DSW in Downtown Crossing.

I second DSW as a reasonable placy to try. They have a fair amount of this sort of accessory near the checkout.

I've seen that sort of thing in the past at Target.

The Payless in Central Square has some.

The shoe repair shop in the plaza by Starbucks would probably have something like this.

Savas definitely knows shoes. I'd go there first.

If they are too big or cutesy-shaped, you can trim them. I've done it many times.

Shaw's

This is strange because I am rarely in Shaw's, but was there last week at Porter Sq and happened across one of those Scholl's (I think) insert displays. And I spent quite a bit of time looking because they have updated offerings for dress shoes, so that you couldn't see the orthopedic-looking sides of more traditional inserts - they were more discreet colors and narrower, but they did have full length. Cushion type, gel type, diff. sizes. It was near the dairy end of town, I think the housewares aisle, like with Swiffer mops and such.

Jimmy's Shoe Repair in Central has a really good selection, reasonably priced, and is a local business. :)
