Will you do a big favor by taking 1 MINUTE out of your day today?

theMOVE is in the running for much-needed startup funds, and we're in heavy need of votes.  We're a Somerville-based grassroots nonprofit that sets up reflective-farm volunteer experiences for diverse groups throughout Boston, and this funding will serve as a critical step for our full launch next March.
Please vote for theMOVE before midnight tonight!  Everyone gets 3 votes -- please use them all!  We deeply appreciate your help -- thank you!

The superquick instructions...
1. Go to projectfund.brighterplanet.com.  Click the gray button "Join this fund to vote"
2. Sign up for an account (very little info needed)  -- and look out for the confirmation email
3. Go to the theMOVE's page and vote for us
4. IMPORTANT!  You get 3 votes!  Click on "theMOVE" again to vote for it twice more.

The Somerville Bicycle Committee's Tour de Somerville will take place tomorrow - Saturday, October 16. We'll explore off-road paths in Somerville and neighboring towns, especially along Alewife Brook and the Mystic River.

We'll meet at 10 am at Seven Hills Park, behind the Holland Street MBTA entrance in Davis Square. The ride will leave promptly at 10:15. A map of the route is at http://tinyurl.com/TourSomerville2010 . A little more information is at http://SomervilleBikes.org/Events.html .

Somerville police will escort the ride, and Redbones will provide refreshments at a rest stop. Some of the paths we're exploring are unpaved dirt and may be challenging for bicycles with narrow tires.

Right now we think a rain postponement (to Sunday) is unlikely, but if it is necessary we'll announce it at http://SomervilleBikes.org/Events.html .

It turns out that the mayor is crashing our party, once again. The mayor is having a "Young Somerville" meeting in the Burren's back room on the 20th from 6:30pm till 8pm. Therefore, we will be meeting in the front room and migrating to the back after 8pm.

Thanks to Ron for giving me the heads up about this. Ron is the unofficial mayor of Somerville (not much happens in this city that he doesn't know about).

Once again, if you arrive by 7pm we will be in front bar. After 8pm we will be back bar.

Hope to see many of you on Wednesday the 20th.

I am going to be moving away for two years and would like to rent out my condo while I am gone. I'd rather go through a local management company, as I think it would be easier than trying to finagle repairs from far away. But, as a former renter I am aware that there are some *horrible* management companies out there, and I *do not* want to become an absentee slum lord. So I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations or warnings about management companies they have worked with before (either as a landlord or as a renter).

Thanks!
