I am standing in my new kitchen eating tortilla chips, with boxes all around me, thanks to Precision Moving who were completely awesome. They arrived when they said they would. They took about as long as estimated, they were efficient, and didn't bitch a lot when getting the damned futon into the new place required partial disassembly.

And they moved my stuff! Boxes and boxes, damned-heavy boxes, furniture, stray shelves, and it all ended up where it was labeled to go.

If you're going to hire professional movers, I highly recommend Precision Moving.

So, as mentioned earlier, we just bought a house in Somerville (yay!), and we're looking to have a few things done. I'm seeking referrals for:

- people who can redo decks
- landscaping consultants
- masonry (e.g. front/side steps, railings, etc.)
- heating

Those are the most immediate. I'll check the tags but am looking for fresh recs as well. Thank you in advance!

At one time I was told that McKinnon's carried homemade sausages that were pretty good. Do folks know if they still do homemade sausages and if they are indeed any good?

I'm nifty, a bunch of folks here know me.  You'd like me too! :)

The space is still in flux (emerging from post-high-school-boy-chaos), but i posted it to craigslist so I'd have something to point people to.

I'll say here, if you're wonderful and are willing to do things like cover me for my mom sometimes and what not, I can shave a little rent, but it really is a huge space for the dollar.

If you want to move in over a bit of time before 9/1, that can be arranged, but it might be sort of dosey-do-ing as we move some stuff out and around and your stuff in (and, if you can help with that, it would be easy, actually, especially if you have a car -- I'm going nuts trying to arrange to recycle old computers, donate books, get stuff to Goodwill, and so on from my son and old housemate since I don't have a car).

Also, if you're light on furnishings and don't mind high-school/grad-student-y stuff, catch me soon and you can have all my son's old stuff that I'm not absorbing, for all of me.  Saves me getting rid of it!

I promise you will never lack for interesting geeky conversation when you want it (assuming I'm not running crazy or writing) as I'm always doing something interesting with current tech and tech policy.  Look for Shava Nerad in your fave search engine.  I'm an awesome cook too.
