This is about a month away, but no hurt in posting it early! For those of you who are lucky enough to be able to get out of the office on a weekday, think about golfing in the Somerville Homeless Coalition's 9th Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser!
This year’s tournament will be held at the Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland, Mass,
September 15th. Golfers can check-in the day of the event at 10a.m., followed by lunch. Shotgun start will be at 11a.m. The event will feature an 18-hole scramble, prizes, dinner reception, as well as a “Best of Day” awards ceremony. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization and the programs and services it provides to the homeless and near-homeless in Somerville and the Greater Boston area.
The cost to participate is $150 per person or $600 for a four-person team. Participants can sign-up as an individual, or in two, three or four person groups. Event sponsorships are also available for businesses, starting at $150. A sponsorship guarantees the participating organization visibility to up to 144 golfers, exposure to visitors on the official SHC website, and mention in the newsletter and annual report.
