Hey everyone!

We're having another sprout spaghetti dinner over at sprout this Wednesday at 730PM...

At this month's dinner we're going to look at ways we interpret human and animal motion and translate it into a whole variety of other things like meaning, music, robotic gestures, or computation. We'll explore ways that people use motion: from physical interfaces on digital worlds to motion tracking devices that allow people to better understand the movement of their own body.

We're still nailing down the program, but our performers will be sharing projects, ideas, and performances including ::

+ poi spinning that generates music in response to choreography
+ a robotic cheetah designed on the principles of animal locomotion
+ a look at some of the motion interpretation happening in the Kinect-based video game Dance Central
+ and, well, just plain music making!

Let us know if you have any questions, and we hope to see you there!

Hi, folks. I've been watching this community since before I moved to Cambridge, and I love all the information! However, it turns out I'm leaving the area, and my apartment is available in a few short weeks.

Here are the details:
2 bedrooms, 2 bath, open floorplan in the living area. The kitchen has a ridiculously large amount of storage and counter space (seriously, I <3 this kitchen). Hardwood floors, granite countertops, marble bathrooms. Air conditioned, dishwasher, washer/dryer in the unit, wine fridge. Additional basement storage. The building was completely refurnished in 2003, so windows and appliances are all new. There's a backyard that's shared with the other 2 units in the building. It's a quiet street, but 2 blocks from the bus to Harvard Square. About a 20 minute walk to Porter. 15 minute walk or less to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. No dedicated parking spot, but there's loads of parking on the street - even with all the snow this winter, I never had to park more than 1 block away. Usually there's a spot right outside the front door. The landlord is really easy going. $2500. It's located at Fayerweather and Walden in Cambridge.
