Somerville Illuminations Bicycle Tour - Saturday, December 17

The Somerville Bicycle Committee and Somerville Arts Council will lead the second annual Illuminations bike tour on Saturday, December 17, 2011 (the same night as the Arts Council's Illuminations Trolley Tour).

This is a fairly slow ride that goes by some of the most well lit houses in the city. The tour is about an hour long with many stops to chat and see the lights.

Details:

Meet Location: Somerville High School
Meet Time: 6:00pm
Departure: 6:20pm
Required: warm clothes & bike lights
Recommended: holiday lights, costumes & good cheer
Suggested Donation to the Somerville Arts Council: $5
Afterwards: Hot drinks & treats at City Hall

Eastern bank robbed?

The husband was running an errand at Eastern Bank and just texted me to say they were robbed and the cops apprehended the guy in the middle of Davis. Um, whoa. Anyone have more info/corroboration on that?

December 13th State Senate Primary: Voter guide? Opinions?

Next Tuesday (December 13) there will be a special Democratic primary to determine who will run to replace state senator Steven Tolman. A December special primary election is likely to have a small turnout, which means everyone who does vote basically counts extra. And given the district, the winner of the primary is pretty likely to be the winner of the general election.
