UPDATE: THE SONG IS U2'S VERTIGO. PLEASE VOTE . . .
At last, after what seems like an eternity but has only been nine weeks, the End is Nigh.
The final WFNX 101.7 FM “My Song is Better than Your Song” Mayoral Challenge will be waged tomorrow morning, Thursday, March 22nd, at 9 a.m. Our Mayor, Joe Curtatone, will face off in a re-match against Melrose Mayor Rob Dolan – the very mayor that Joe knocked off in his first challenge back on January 26th.
Each mayor has won seven contests. This is the tie-breaker. The winner gets bragging rights FOREVER. For Somerville to win and retire the record, we need your help. And, yes, yakshaver, I know it’s not our civic duty, but we have come this far together and it would be a tragedy for Somerville to fall short this close to the finish.
So please – pretty please – tune in to WFNX 101.7 FM at 9 a.m. Thursday morning. Wait to hear both songs be played and for voting to be opened (voting earlier doesn’t count), and then VOTE for Joe’s song by 9:30 a.m.
