Hi Davis Square friends,

I'm very excited to spread the word that MF Dulock, craft butcher shop located at 201A Highland Avenue, is opening at 11am on Tuesday morning! Mike Dulock prides himself on serving pasture-raised meats from local farmers that includes lamb, beef, pork and sausages. You can check out his website at http://www.mfdulock.com for more details!

On another note, please have a safe and wonderful long weekend!

Hello everyone. Turning to the knowledgeable masses cause I haven't a clue.

Some info: my son just moved into an apartment that is in a house my husband and I own. We purchased the one year old stacking washer/dryer unit from the tenant that just moved out. They had it installed themselves. The unit is in a 'cubbie' that was built for such appliance.

We used it for the first time last night and upon investigation we realized that there are two large holes in the vent-tubing that vents the dryer to the outside. (It's not venting out, but coming into the apartment.) We could replace the tubing ourselves, only, we can't get behind the darn thing. Seems the electric cord isn't long enough to pull the unit out fully so that we can GET to the vent, or even unplug the thing. The unit was purchased through Sears, but I don't want to deal with them unless I have to.

I don't know if I am to look for a plumber, an electrician, handyman, or acrobat. :/

Any suggestions? Hints? Advice?

Any help much appreciated, thanks.
