Orange Leaf is a national chain franchise. I hope Davis Square residents will instead patronize the new, locally-owned iYO Cafe, a block further east on Elm Street.
Dear friends and neighbors,
As Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur approach, I wanted to invite you to our delightful and free family services at Temple B'nai Brith, 201 Central Street (at Broadway) in Winter Hill, Somerville. See below for more information.
Happy New Year,
Todd Kaplan
Warm and Welcoming High Holiday Family Services at Temple B'nai Brith
Families are invited to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with song, story and prayer at B'nai Brith in Somerville. Family services are free and do not require tickets. Of course we would love to know if you are coming, so please do not hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We are also happy to answer any questions you might have about our congregation, our programs and our children's school.
Services will be held Monday, Sept. 17 (Rosh Hashanah) and Wednesday, Sept. 26, (Yom Kippur) from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The participatory service, led by Rabbi Eliana, will include a shofar service and, on Rosh Hashanah, will conclude with apples and honey, grape juice and challah.
Tot services for children ages 3-6 will be held the same days, from 10 a.m. to 10:45. These are hands-on services with lots of opportunity for singing and movement. Parents are asked to please accompany their children.
Temple B'nai Brith is a progressive, egalitarian congregation with roots in the Conservative movement that offers space for the many expressions of Jewish practice.
We're located at 201 Central St. in Somerville. (We're happy to note that Somerville parking restrictions will be suspended in the TBB neighborhood for the High Holidays.)
