Just a reminder: THIS SUNDAY is the 16th Annual Ciclismo Classico Jingle Ride….and the weather looks good, with a high of 46 degrees! We’re raising funds for a great charity this year: Horizons for Homeless Children (I volunteered for them for many years and can vouch for their awesomeness).

Join us for this favorite holiday tradition: a festive bike parade from Arlington to Boston and back! (like the Jingle Bell Run, but on bikes) This 22-mile ride rolls through Harvard Square, the Charles River bike path along the Esplanade, Boston Common, and Newbury Street – we will stop and sing carols for passersby, or just parade along showing some creative holiday spirit. We’ll also enjoy hot cocoa and cookies at Harvard Square, courtesy of the Harvard Square Business Association!

More info...
Date: Sunday December 9th, 2012
Time: registration opens at 10:15 AM, ride leaves promptly at 11 AM
Distance: 22-mile leisurely loop from Arlington to Boston and back
Starting point: Jam N’ Java, 594 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington Center, MA
Cost: Suggested donation of $25 (children under 18 are free if accompanied by an adult). All proceeds go to Horizons for Homeless Children.

Hello-

I was hoping to be able to introduce my almost two-year-old to the wonder that is Illuminations this year, but Blue Cloud is already sold out of tickets for the 4:30 Illuminations trolleys! What!?

Anyway, this is obviously great for the SAC, but less so for my family. Anyone have an extra pair of tickets for the 4:30 run (any trolley) you'd be willing to sell, or an extra single for the 4:30 C trolley? Please let me know!

Thanks!

Has anyone had old home movies (or other film) copied in digital format at a local business? Any favorites? Places to avoid?

Thanks so much.

There's currently an opossum the size of a not really all that small dog walking around on Day Street.
