Dust off your Greek drama, pull out your favorite foreign language or share a particularly puzzling scene! You take the stage, you make the show! Come one, come all and join us for a Theatre Slam!

in the back room at The Burren
$5 to participate, $10 to watch

Sign-ups start at 2:30pm. Come early to get your name on the list, order beer and food and get ready to enjoy the show from 3-5pm.

Hosted by Mike Haddad, everyone's favorite Latin teacher, the afternoon will feature trivia, mad libs, prizes and a sneak preview of our upcoming show, Trojan Women!

The HONK! Festival schedule is now fully online.

Thursday night: PreHONK!. Four bands outdoors in Union Square plaza, 7-9:35 pm, then five bands indoors at Aeronaut Brewery, 9:15 pm to midnight.

Friday afternoon: HONK for $15 minimum wage in Downtown Crossing and Boston Common, 3-5 pm

Friday evening: Lantern parades from Hodgkins Park, starting at 7 pm. (Lantern-making workshops at Hodgkins Park from 4 to 6 pm)

Friday night: Five HONK! bands at Johnny D's, 8 pm to after midnight

Saturday: the main HONK! event in Davis Square, 12:30 to 9 pm: 28 bands at seven outdoor locations around Davis Square

Sunday: HONK! parade from Davis Square to Harvard Square, noon to 2 pm, followed by HONK! on four Harvard Square Oktoberfest stages, 2 to 6 pm.

Monday: PRONK! Providence Honk Festival, 2-10 pm at several locations in that city (including a parade)

As has been mentioned on this group before, my wife somerville_lmt and I are building a float center in Magoun Square. We have full construction plans and bids from contractors and a pending application for a building permit, and now have just launched pre-orders in the form of a crowdfund campaign.  Since so much of our expenses are in the form of construction and equipment purchase, every dollar we can get now helps immensely with cash flow.
