2:15 a.m. Loud noises on Chapel Street from two guys post 2 am bar closing. They stopped to urinate in the alcove of the Methodist Church and then moved on. A few lights went on, including my own, from awakened neighbors. And then they moved on. Not worth a police call, but still a disturbance.

Assumptions

How do you know they were from a bar that closed at 2am, never mind one of the few in Davis Square that have a license? They very well could have come from a house party, or been dropped off in a taxi from Boston in the center of the square and were walking home from there, etc. Since Chapel Street is squarely between a huge university and a Central Business District, I'd imagine all of the above, among others, are a possibility.

The OP never made any of the assertions you're defending against, here - only noted that the time was "post 2 am bar closing."

Go easy on the B-button there, excitebike.

Why snark? I think the op was more letting us know the time frame.

Urinating on a house of worship the night before its weekly services! WHY DID YOU NOT GET THESE MEN'S PHONE NUMBERS FOR ME? I MUST MEET THESE PARAGONS OF HUMANITY!

I wonder if they have a schedule ("Thursday night: piss on mosques; Friday night: pee on synagogues, Kingdom Halls; Saturday night: tinkle on churches") or something. Maybe there's an iPhone app?

Mondays: micturate on Methodists and perhaps poop on Pentecostals else urinate on Universalist Unitarians. Saturday: spray semen on seminary students.

Not worth a 911 call, but certainly worth a call to the non-emergency number (617 625-1600) or to 311. I believe that they keep track of these kinds of incidents so they can target police patrols etc. If disturbances are frequent, it's also worth keeping a log of incidents since it can help make the case for increased police presence if it comes to that.

You should call Somerville Speakout. Who knows? The perpetrator may offer an apology...
