looking for a room
Apr. 22nd, 2010 08:47 amSo long story short, my boyfriend and I signed a lease on our first place and were all set to move in over the next couple weeks--but we broke up last night. The one piece of good news in this is that the new lease was month-to-month, so I'm not sewn into an unbearable living situation for a year.
My landlord has already rented out my current place, so renewing my lease here isn't an option.
May is already paid for at my new place, and because I leave this evening for a 6-day/6-night work trip, it's fairly unlikely that I'll find a different new place in time to tell my new landlords that I won't be renewing the lease for June.
But if anyone out there has or knows of a Summer sublet in Davis Square or Porter Square or Central Square or Inman or Union or Teele or Ball Square, or even Magoun, that starts 6/1 and only costs up to $600/mo (with or without utilities included), I would really appreciate the opportunity to come and meet you after I get back from Chicago next week. I mean, I have a place I can move into when my lease at my current place is up, and my parents said they'd help me with the rent on it as I can't swing it alone, but if I don't have to move all by myself into an apartment that was supposed to be Our First Place, that would be so much the better.
I'm 31, I work full-time, I don't smoke, and I don't have any pets.
