Do you need to have a permit for a yard sale? I've been meaning to have one, and haven't gotten around to checking with the city yet.

I've asked before

Somerville does not require a permit for a yard sale at your residence.
Just don't have stuff on the sidewalk that would block pedestrian traffic; keep stuff in your driveway,on the front lawn.

List it online for free

You can also list stuff for sale online on www.privategaragesale.com (http://www.privategaragesale.com)
It's totally free, you get to keep all the money.

I am chuckling at your Kozmo.com drop box. I still have many free post-it note pads that they gave away free. That service was the best. I worked downtown and the nearest convenience store was a few blocks aways (gasp! the horror!) and my cube-mate and I would order pints of ice cream for lunch.
